CALL FOR ENTRIES: “White Canvas Bhutan Art Competition 2024”
Accepting entries from 7th November 2024 till 7th December 2024. The judging and award ceremony will be announced in Dec 2024.
Theme: Open.
Size: Any size but minimum within 30 cm x 30 cm and maximum 100 cm x 100 cm.
Form: Art on a flat surface using any medium; oil, acrylic, watercolour, natural pigment, printing, graphite, pastel etc.
Art Competition Terms of Reference:
a) Only one entry will be accepted. Diptych, triptych or series will not be accepted.
b) The artwork will be evaluated based on the following criteria, with a total possible score of 100 points:
- Originality and Creativity [20 points]
The artwork should demonstrate originality and creativity in its conception, design, and execution. Consideration will be given to the artist’s ability to explore and express a unique vision or idea. - Technical Skill and Mastery [20 points]
The artwork should exhibit a high level of technical proficiency and mastery in the chosen medium. - Conceptual Depth and Meaning [20 points]
The artwork should convey conceptual depth and meaning, engaging the viewer by communicating a message, emotion, or idea. The artist’s ability to express their intended concept will be assessed. - Aesthetics and Visual Impact [20 points]
The artwork should have a strong visual appeal, capturing the viewer’s attention through striking aesthetics and impactful presentation. - Overall Quality [20 points]
The artwork should reflect high overall quality, with careful attention to detail, craftsmanship, and presentation.
c) If digital, artwork must be printed on canvas and framed.
d) We will be accepting only original artwork and new works of art (art that has not been previously exhibited or entered and accepted in other competitions).
