A mandala is a symbol of the universe in its ideal form, and its creation signifies the transformation of a universe of suffering into one of Joy. It can also be used as an aid to meditation, helping the meditator to envision how to achieve the perfect self. Green Tara is usually associated with protection from fear and the following obscurations. In the center of the painting, she is seen sitting on a decorative sofa, decorated with flowers and some colorful pearls, she is seen in a meditative position.

About the Artist
I am lucky to have been inspired by and to learn from my father and grandfather, both great traditional artists. I like to paint in the traditional style, and depict subjects either from traditional art, like deities, or Bhutanese imagery- temples and landscapes. There is a unique beauty in them that I feel helps channel my own sense of being. I wish to pass on my knowledge and love for art to my children and future generations, just as I inherited them from my ancestors.
