The Wind Horse is a mythical Tibetan creature, considered to have the ability to carry prayers from earth to the heavenly gods using its strength sourced from the wind. The Wind Horse is thought to possess powerful energy that carries colossal power to the lives of all beings who come into contact with the wind. Prayer flags are found in five element colors inscribed with auspicious and sacred symbols and texts in the form of invocations, mantras and sutras.( Prayers and blessings for long life, good fortune, health, peace, happiness, protection from harm, wish fulfillment, luck, harmony, wisdom, merit, compassion and strength.)

About the Artist
As a young kid I had little interest in academics and enjoyed drawing. It became my favorite thing to do and eventually I realized the love for art at a very young age. I joined VAST Bhutan in 1998. I gained a lot of knowledge which encouraged me to pursue a career in art as a full-time artist. Today, I am a contemporary artist based in Thimphu, working as a freelancer. My work has been exhibited in several Asian countries such as Nepal, Malaysia, China and India.
