Art Description
All of us have the Buddha nature within us. Discovering the Buddha within ourselves is so difficult because it’s obscured by our negative thoughts and daily activities of the material world. This artwork is to show that the world is full of hatred, desire and anger. On canvas, the portion of the Wheel of Dharma is depicted as an activity of loving kindness and compassion diminishing from our planet. At the same time the half Buddha, representing the Buddha nature within yourself, is also slowly diminishing with the negative external influences of the world. It is a reminder to all of us to awaken the Buddha in ourselves through times of difficulty.

About the Artist
A contemporary and abstract art blending with traditional Buddhist motifs and symbols in order to spread the messages of peace to the world. I have showcased art and architecture and fortresses in many of my works. I have been interested in art, even from my early age in school, when I would paint and draw little flowers, trees and mountains, later participating in art competitions in schools. I was totally influenced by Buddhism to have this painting done, where I think iconography could stimulate our minds and set us free to put our emotions into colours on a canvas. The move from east to west Bhutan helped me encounter western art which triggered my curiosity to discover newer mediums of art. This led me to take art as my dream. I use different techniques and texture to bring my paintings alive.
