About Pema Wangyel (MaGyel)
I was raised in an artistic home. My father used to paint and my mother wove textiles. So growing up, we had cans of colors, brushes, paper, yarn, woven clothes and my father’s collections of artworks. I was exposed to the art world at a very young age, that’s how I developed my passion for drawing.
My work is about characters. I like creating whimsical and abstract characters. I often use sketch and marker pens, colored pencils and acrylic paints. I try my best to think out of the box and develop a distinctive style.
My ultimate dream is to work in the creative industry one day.
