Art Description
Tsha Tsha, a Buddhist transliteration of Sanskrit word, is the clay votive in Tibetan Buddhism. Whether they are the relief images made from one-side moulds or round stupas completed by two-side molds, all of them are called Tsha Tsha. The purpose that Buddhist monks and lay people make Tsha Tsha is to accumulate merit. The completed Tsha Tsha is mainly used to fill the inner shrines of bigger stupas or statues. Tsha Tsha is also used as the object of dispelling illness or praying for good luck. When they are in use Tsha Tshas are worshiped at places such as Tsha-khang, snow mountains, peaks and caves.
Tsha Tsha is a typical representative of Tibetan Buddhist arts which is the precious treasure left to us by our ancestors.

About the Artist
“What is, is. What isn’t, isn’t.” My path to becoming an artist is through my necessity for self-actualization, the realization of my full inner potential through; art, creativity, independence and spontaneity while being mindful of my limitations, acceptance and a grasp of the real world throughout my life. I am always discovering my being, transcending and evolving, by producing (textured, experimental, unexpected and improvisational mixed media) artworks that create new and unpredictable cycles of thoughts. In my varied and diverse approaches to making art, I hope to invite and provoke the viewer to draw into a state of speculation, juxtaposition and ironic twist of images with a chance to challenge one’s thoughts, perspectives and expectations.
